LIVE Curriculum Giveaway: Part 2 – Why LIVE?

So, my previous post began the LIVE Leadership Curriculum giveaway, and today we continue to give you and your friends more opportunities, to comment, tweet and WIN!

However, some of you have asked some great questions about LIVE and what the curriculum can do for you. Recently, I caught up with Matty McCage from Simply Youth Ministry. Matty is the LIVE guru and would love to talk to you more if you have any questions.  Here’s what he had to say:

“The Live Curriculum is a cohesive plan for your youth ministry, using a 36-week ministry calendar year. The lessons are designed to flow from one topic to the next, and each year builds on the previous years. But since we know every ministry is different, we give you the option of taking it apart, shifting around the pieces, and using the lessons in whatever order you’d like. You can prayerfully schedule the lessons as you sense God’s direction in your ministry.

Not only does the LIVE Curriculum have awesome content, the Golden Ticket is found in the online delivery engine! The website allows you to communicate with your team, customize the lessons, upload your own material, schedule your calendar, streamline your administrative channels as well as giving you access to the mobile apps for ease of teaching.  Other than baking your favorite pizza, there isn’t much LIVE can’t do…”

Here’s How You Can Win LIVE Leadership:

I’m new to my current church. I’ve been here close to a year and it is really growing. The youth group started with 15 kids between 6-12th grade and has been steadily growing. We’re now reaching up to 40 youth at youth group and even more on trips and lock-ins.

My church, however, is still pretty small(ish) with about 250-300 average attendance. That being said, our youth budget is very small.

My youth have gotten many lessons that I have custom made, but we’re lacking a structured program that someone else put together. I have heard many good things about LIVE and would love to try it out, but it’s just not in our budget (or my salary! haha). I think that our youth could benefit and continue to grow with a good solid program of awesomeness.

    Keep up the good work!

I have never used Live before, but have wanted to for some time now. I feel it will help in developing material for my teaching time. I have accepted a new youth pastor position at another church so this may be what I need to help get things organized and off to a great start!

Charlie, this is a great curriculum to get your ministry off the ground. I have found that the first year at a church should be about investing and spending time with students. This curriculum saves you time and gives you great content. Ultimately, it helps you focus on what matters most… students. Like I said in another comment, give Matty a call and let him tell you more about the foundational curriculum.

I’ve been looking at LIVE for quite some time, and love the two new curriculum add ons. I am especially interested in the leadership stuff because I have been at my youth ministry only 9 months, and we’re seeing some students rising to the challenge we’ve been giving them to take ownership and leadership. Now comes the step of training them. From what I’ve seen of the curriculum it would be perfect for it.

Bill, give Matty a call. He could tell you all about the foundation 4 yr high school and 2 yr junior high curriculum. It’s been great for us. The upfront cost is well worth it over 6 years!

I’ve scouted the Live curriculum, and I have to say that it excites me. Having such an in-depth look @ the Bible from so many perspectives; Jr. High, High School, Leadership, Book-by-book & I’m curious to see how the video stuff fits in. With as many things as most youth pastors do during the week (@ the church & away from it), it’s good to know that the students don’t have to suffer because their youth leader was too busy.

I’m not a huge fan of pre-built curriculum, but I have to say that this sounds amazing! The fact that you can access all of it online is the kind of innovation that our generation has been crying out for.

As cool as it is to share studies across the board in church (youth – adults – seniors), it’s good to have something aimed @ my target demographic. Students. Especially since I’ve been wrestling with how to split my Jr. Highers and my High Schoolers. This curriculum will take a HUGE burden off my shoulders and allow me to focus in more than one area.

I don’t have it yet, but it is in my plans.

Winning this e-raffle would be huge! I know it’s for the leadership material, but I’ve got to start somewhere.

Also, the LIVE Bibles are amazing! It’s good to be able to give a kid a Bible that they might actually read!

This curriculum would enhance our ministry in so many ways-it’s so versatile! We have a student leadership team and would love to have a steady curriculum to use for our Wednesday night meetings-this kind of curriculum is so hard to find! Also, the adult leadership curriculum would be an AMAZING tool seeing that we don’t train our adult leaders as much as we’d like to. I also love the leadership curriculum for small groups-we have many potential leaders in our youth ministry that would benefit from this type of small group. We love using media and I’m pumped to see that video is used with all of these features! I also love the accessibility from anywhere with the online programming!

We already have the Sr. High and Jr. High curriculum and we LOVE it! It has so much valuable material and it’s given us a new perspective on how to do small groups! These curriculums allow us to spend more time with the teens personally-and I can’t tell you enough how much this has helped us to grow our ministry and allow our teens to grow into a deeper relationship with Christ!

We love the LIVE curriculum and would love to add the leadership curriculum to our collection!
